Sleeping on the job

Is this funny or what? Kirk was out mowing the grass and I couldn't find Evan. I looked all around and finally found him sitting on the riding mower with his Daddy. Kirk had put a child size reclining lawn chair on the mower for Evan to ride on. Then I noticed that Evan was sound asleep with headphones on! He was jammin to country music! Great Gordon would be proud:) I couldn't resist this Kodak moment!!

Trying to Crawl

Olivia is working hard getting to where she wants to go. She starts on her back and is soon on her belly. She pushes back with her arms and moves backwards! I hear her messing with different things all the time. A few days ago she was trying to get under the couch, then she played with my handles on the dresser! What will she try next? She'll be taking off soon.......watch out!!!

Watch Me Jump

Olivia loves to jump so I bought her a Jumperoo at Once Upon a Child. She absolutely loves it and I do too because it wears her out! She is full of energy and is a ball of fire! She likes to jump on the deck when the weather is nice and she just laughs so loud at Evan and Emma! Enjoy the video clip:)

Evan's Bike

Evan has earned a "Blue" bike! His job was to wear big boy underpants to pre-school and go potty when asked. He has been successful and doing GREAT! Mamaw and Papaw just happened to have a "blue" bike at their house (which was Trey's when he was younger) so they brought it up for Evan! He rode it for a little while, but wanted to go play with the neighbor kids. He still prefers his trike over his bike, but that will soon change. He can't keep up with the other kids on the trike and they all have bikes! Yes, he wears a helmet! I just don't have a picture of him with it on:)

New Playset

Daddy and Papaw Ashburn put up a new playset. It took FOREVER to construct because the pieces aren't labeled so you have to measure each one! They worked really hard and completed the majority of it. Daddy has been doing the rest as he finds time. It's been fun watching Evan explore and pushing Olivia on the swing! Our neighbors asked if they could put their infant swing on ours for the "girls" to swing on! It's pink and a lot of fun for Madison and Olivia. Evan has held Olivia and taken her down the slide. She loves it and he's really good with her!

Emma is doing better staying in the yard and we're still training her with the invisible fence. She will not leave Evan while he's in the yard and I think that's great! She's very protective of the kids and a great dog........even when she chews!!

EGGstra Special Easter:)

Having Olivia in our family this year for Easter made it EGGstra special! The kids had a great time celebrating with Grammy, Aunt Nanny, Uncle Michael, Issac and Jacob. We enjoyed watching the boys hunt for eggs and special surprises!! Isaac found the "golden" egg! Jacob wasn't too happy about that:) Olivia and Emma (the dog) enjoyed watching everyone play in the yard! Olivia held her bottle for the first time on Easter as Aunt Nanny was feeding her. So Big!!

Six Months Old

We'll it's hard to believe that Olivia is six months old! She is getting a little better each month and is so fun to be around! She's little miss smiles most of the time and loves to talk, talk, talk! Wonder where she gets that? She currently weighed in at 19 lbs and 27 3/4 in. (28 3/4 according to her GI doc.) Anyway, she is very tall like her Grammy and Aunt Nancy!

Some of Olivia's favorite things are:

Eating solid foods, Watching Evan play cars, bouncing in her Exersaucer(which isn't made to bounce), talk to hands and feet and roll, roll, roll! She can't sit still and we believe she may be crawling soon!

Thanks to everyone for the continued prayers for Olivia. She is still on one medication for reflux, but we have it under control. We've been transitioning formula so the plan is the be on 100% Emfamil lipil soon! We hope it works!

Family Picture

We had this picture taken at our church when we dedicated Olivia. It was too early for Evan to smile, but Olivia was having a good old time! She's a morning girl and Evan is an evening boy! I guess we'll have to try afternoon to see if they'll both cooperate!

We Love Daddy!
